1. Competition date and venue
It will be held in Hefei, Anhui Province from October 25th to November 4th, 2023.

3. Participating units
All provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government, cities specifically designated in the state plan, Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and industry associations.
4. Eligibility
(1) The representative qualifications of athletes participating in the professional group and youth group are subject to the 2023 registered representative units.
(2) The youth group refers to athletes born after January 1, 1999 and before December 31, 2006.
(3) The open group is for those born after January 1, 1963 and before December 31, 2006, and have won the “National Amateur Chess Championship” qualifier champion.
(4) The juvenile group is for those who were born after January 1, 2007 and before December 31, 2013, and have won the “National Amateur Chess Championship” qualifier champion.
(5) University student group:
1. Provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government, and cities with separate state plans send athletes to participate in the competition scope is limited to colleges and universities within their administrative jurisdiction.
2. The scope of athletes selected by the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps is limited to colleges and universities of the Corps; the scope of athletes selected by industry sports associations is limited to colleges and universities under the jurisdiction of the ministries and commissions to which the industry belongs.
3. Athletes participating in the competition should be regular full-time students who have been admitted by the admissions committee (office) of the ordinary colleges and universities where the candidates are located, registered on the “China Higher Education Student Information Network”, and have not yet graduated during the competition.
（六）公开组、少年组运动员，应为2023年6月1日前未获得国家级运动健将及以上称号者，代表资格以户籍所在地或行业系统（不含少年组）为准。
（七）其他条款参照《第五届全国智力运动会竞赛规程总则》执行。
五、参加办法
（一）专业组：男子团体4人；女子团体3人；男子个人2人；女子个人1人。
（二）公开组：男子个人2人；女子个人1人。
（三）青年组：男子个人2人；女子个人2人。
（四）少年组：男子个人2人；女子个人2人。
（五）大学生混合团体组：男子2人、女子1人。
（六）参加专业组团体比赛的运动员可以兼报专业组个人或青年组，其他组别运动员不可兼项。
（七）参加全部项目的单位可报领队1名，教练2名，参加6项（含6项）以上比赛的单位可报领队1名，教练1名，参加6项以下比赛的单位可报领队兼教练1名。
六、竞赛办法
（一）执行中国象棋协会审定的《象棋竞赛规则（2020版）》，比赛均采用电脑编排。
（二）各组均视报名情况，在第一次报名后确定比赛办法。
（三）本次比赛专业组团体、个人和青年组计算等级分。
（四）专业组团体赛采用分台定人制，按2023年5月31日截止期运动员等级分顺序排列，等级分高者列前。大学生混合团体，男子为第1、2台，女子为第3台。
（五）用时办法：
1.专业组、青年组用时：每方基本用时30分钟，每走一步加30秒。
2.公开组、少年组和大学生组用时：每方基本用时40分钟，每走一步加5秒。
七、录取名次与奖励
按照《第五届全国智力运动会竞赛规程总则》执行。
八、技术官员
按照《第五届全国智力运动会竞赛规程总则》执行。
九、报名和报到
（一）报名按照《第五届全国智力运动会竞赛规程总则》规定执行。
（二）第二次报名各参赛单位须将参加的具体项目、运动员名单，以及青年组、公开组、少年组运动员的身份证复印件和大学生组运动员学生证复印件报国家体育总局棋牌运动管理中心象棋部。本次确定报名参赛的具体项目不得更改。
(3) Publicity: The list of participating players will be publicized on the official website of the Chess and Cards Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China within 15 days after the second registration deadline. If you have any objection, please report to the Chess Department of the Chess and Cards Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China in written form before the deadline for publicity. Overdue will not be accepted.
(4) Each representative team can register 2 days before the opening ceremony of the 5th National Intellectual Games, and leave the meeting 1 day after the game ends. All small sports teams report 2 days before the start of the competition, and leave 1 day after the game ends.
(5) The time and place of the technical meeting will be notified separately.
(6) The date of registration of technical officials will be notified separately.
10. Others
Each team must send outstanding athletes and coaches to participate in public welfare activities organized by the organizing committee and the Chinese Chess Association.
